Ritemed Metformin 850mg 1 Tablet
- Ritemed Metformin 850 mg is a treatment for type 2 diabetes mellitus, particularly in overweight patients, when dietary management and exercise alone does not result in adequate glycaemic control.
- Dosage and accommodation for Ritemed Metformin 850 mg: For adults, Ritemed metformin may be used as monotherapy or in combination with other oral anti-diabetic agents or with insulin. For children 10 years of age and above, Ritemed metformin may be used as monotherapy or in combination with insulin. Initially take 500 mg every 12 hours, but the dose may gradually increase to a maximum of 2,250 mg daily if recommended by the doctor. Take the tablet with food and do not swallow it whole.
- Contraindications: Patients with renal impairment, acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, and hypersensitivity. Patients with unstable and type 1 IDDM. History of lactic acidosis irrespective of precipitating factors. Acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis, w/ or w/o coma; disease which may cause tissue hypoxia
