Fornidd XR (Metformin Hydrochloride extended release) 1g 1 Tablet
Fornidd XR 1 g / 1000 mg is used to reduce high blood sugar levels caused by improper production or use of insulin in the body, which results to type 2 diabetes mellitus. Fornidd XR 1 g / 1000 mg works by reducing the amount of glucose in the body, as well as increasing the body's response to insulin.
With the doctor's recommendation, the tablet may be taken together with other medicines for treating certain conditions. It is combined with sulphonylureas and Metformin Hydrochloride extended release 1 g / 1000 mg to lower the total cholesterol levels in the blood. It may elevate the risk of having low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia).
Dosage and accommodation for Fornidd XR:
- Fornidd extended release 1 g / 1000 mg
- not recommended for treating high blood sugar levels caused by type 1 diabetes mellitus
The typical dose for adults is 850 mg once a day or 500 mg twice a day with food. Fornidd extended release 1 g / 1000 mg but dosage should not go beyond 2550 mg in a day. For children, the initial dose of a 500 mg tablet is twice a day and should exceed 2000 mg in children 10-16 years, as the Metformin Hydrochloride extended release 1 g / 1000 mg.
